In fact, he came right out

This Jason Reitman film has great momentum, something Reitman no doubt learned from his father, Ivan Reitman (Stripes, Animal House, Ghostbusters).
American dominated media
In this sense, with its long kinetic shots, it reminded me of the otherwise unremarkable film Birdman. It’s a great comedy of errors, culminating in groundbreaking TV when 90% of the time. Johnny Carson hated the idea on *his* network. Milton Berle, ahem, expected loyalty from the hippie generation. It was a glorious failure.
Until it wasn’t
I was skeptical of this movie until I got to the dark theater. Who could imitate the idiosyncrasies of Chevy Chase and John Belushi? Who could capture Dan Ackroyd’s bravado? Who would dare imitate Gilda Radner’s often charming charm? The cast, most notably Gabriel Labelle as the visionary no-nonsense Lorne Michaels, rounds it all off with joyous aplomb.
But it spawned a television comedy revolution that continues to this day
There are plenty of laughs for those who remember the mid-1970s and even those who don’t. It was an interesting and turbulent period between the Nixon and Reagan eras.
