Struggling with his dual identity, failed comedian Arthur Fleck meets the love of his life, Harley Quinn, while incarcerated at Arkham State Hospital. Lady Gaga, Brendan Gleeson and writer-director Todd Phillips share what scared them the most about tackling the musical sequel. The subtitle of the film «Folie a Deux» means "The Madness of Two" in French. This initially led to speculation about Harley Quinn appearing in the film, which was confirmed soon after.

The name Folie a Deux comes from the 19th century French psychiatrists Charles Lassegue and Jules Falret. The term was coined to refer to two or more people who share the same insanity or delusion. The chairman of the jury spoke about the "People of New York" instead of Gotham City. This is because the State of New York is the plaintiff in a criminal trial, and this version of Gotham City is apparently located in New York State (most versions place Gotham in New Jersey).

Save yourself time and money
As a huge Joker fan, I expected a strong comeback five years later. The movie was a complete thorn. Whenever I thought the movie was getting better, it got worse. Joaquin Phoenix’s performance was excellent, but the script was terrible.
This film should have been released on Tubi for free
Through no fault of his own, Joker Folie A Deux is one of the worst sequels of all time. The movie seemed more like a showcase of Lady Gaga’s singing and acting abilities, which isn’t great.
