Chronology
CIA agent Joe tries to balance her personal and professional life as the spearhead of the CIA’s war on terror. Real military advisors helped to more authentically recreate weapons handling, house clearing, positioning, squad activities, etc. Best new show ever.
Great acting by everyone
After a disappointing season 4 of Jack Ryan and overall lackluster shows all around, this one felt so much better in every way. Looks really well done and the action/fight scenes look amazing. I think most of the criticism of this show in the comments section boils down to how unrealistic it is because of the whole female operators thing, and I for one, a man, don’t mind a good action show with a woman in the lead that is an original intellectual property that doesn’t turn a male lead into a female lead.
Also, I haven’t noticed any warning signs so far like any man would look incompetent or anything like that
Also, I thought it was going to be a more action packed and straightforward show at first, but then they dove into the family a bit, and normally I find that awful, but I didn’t dislike what they did there. My only criticism is that the plot of this particular operator group is very limiting to the story and could ruin it after one season’s plot/villain… it needs to be more comprehensive so they can potentially do a new, more action packed and fast paced «Homeland» or it risks becoming too episodic, like a «Blacklist».
We’ll see what the great Morgan Freeman brings to the show
PS: So far Nicole Kidman’s role is incredibly small and uneventful and could have been anyone else’s… But from what I’ve seen so far, with Zaldana, the show could stand on its own without any other A-listers. TLDR Overall cautiously optimistic, but I like what I’m seeing so far, everything is incredibly polished and well done.
