Great acting from everyone
The best new show around, after the disappointing 4th season of Jack Ryan and lackluster shows all around, this felt much better in every way. It feels really well made and the action/fight scenes are fantastic. I feel like most of the criticism of this show in the comment section is about how unrealistic this whole female operative thing is, and me, a guy, don’t mind a good female action show.
this is an original IP that doesn’t go and turns a male lead into a female lead
Also, I haven’t seen any red flags yet about making all men unfit or anything like that. I thought it was going to be more of an action-first, nonsensical show at first, but then they got a little into the family, and I usually cringe at that, but I didn’t like what they did there. The criticism is that the plot of this particular group of operators is very limiting to the stories and could kill them if it goes beyond the plot/villain of a season…
We’ll see what the great Morgan Freeman brings to the show
it needs to be more comprehensive, so maybe they could do a new, more action-packed, fast-paced Homeland, otherwise it risks becoming too episodic, like a blacklist. PS: Nicole Kidman’s part so far is incredibly small and uneventful, and anyone else could have done it… But from what we’ve seen so far, the show can hold its own without Zaldana and all the other A-Listers.
It’s entertaining even without the History Channel, which some commenters seem to prefer
TLDR Overall Cautiously optimistic, but I like what I’ve seen so far, everything is incredibly polished and well done.
