I enjoyed Saturday night, but not as much as I expected

There were some good laughs and solid performances from all the main characters/actors we saw, but there could have been more than the last 2 hours before the show aired its first episode.
I would have liked to know where the idea for Saturday Night Live came from and what Lorne Michaels has produced before
It was mostly funny with good laughs, but a bit claustrophobic being on a stage most of the time with some outdoor scenes.
